War Memorial Park Design
War Memorial Park is a triangular tract of land located at a busy intersection in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In the initial design process, we met with our clients, the Esperanza Project, who addressed their concerns about the existing conditions of the park. Community members discussed their concerns with regards to safety, connectivity, and usage. My main goals in designing this park were to improve circulation, increase lighting and viewpoints for safety, and to counterbalance the congestion of the adjacent intersection.
